STORYTELLING
The name ‘Avenca’ was born out of a desire to give the service an image. Avenca is part of the millennial fern family. As a child, I was always fascinated by the beautiful avenca fern my mother had around home, by how their delicate translucent leaves interlaced, and by how they thrived in shade rather than direct sunlight.
The avenca represents the fragility, sensitivity, complexities and resilience of the individual; while simultaneously referencing the growing links between psychotherapy and neuroscience.
